New Strategic Plan: Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation

As Sarasota County continues to evolve, the Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation (SAHP) is expanding its efforts to protect the area's history, which remains vital to its future. The 41-year-old nonprofit has introduced a new three-year strategic plan aimed at strengthening the organization and increasing its influence.
This plan marks a major transition for SAHP, evolving from a volunteer-only board to a professionally staffed entity. It includes appointing Erin DiFazio as the first full-time executive director, establishing SAHP's first compensated role. Erin DiFazio is currently the managing director of the Sarasota Preservation program, overseeing its revolving low-cost loan and preservation easement programs.

As SAHP's leadership team expands, the executive director will manage operations across the organization, including both SP2 and SAHP's primary sectors. Their responsibilities involve advocacy and education, guiding program development, and strengthening community impact. For more information, refer to the attached release.
