This year marks the sixth year of our annual Six to Save list and we need your nominations!
The Six to Save program allows us to shine a spotlight on historic assets, archaeological sites and cultural resources in our community that are at risk. SAHP uses the list as a way to draw attention to historic resources and increase the public’s awareness of the urgent need to save Sarasota County’s historic resources.
Nominations are now open and we need the community's help to ensure the best list possible from across Sarasota County.
Started by the History and Preservation Coalition of Sarasota County, the program is now collaborative, with the Alliance spearheading it. Similar to the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s “11 Most Endangered Historic Places” and the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation’s “Florida’s 11 to Save," the preservation community in Sarasota County hopes to bring awareness to historical resources at risk.
The Six to Save list will be announced in November. To submit a nomination for the list, please fill out the short form at https://www.preservesrq.org/six-to-save.
